Walkthrough[]
Talking to Oscar, this time will have him telling you to keep your voice low. He informs you that he no longer thinks Maximilian is doing all he can to apprehend this vandal. Maybe Maximilian is the vandal himself! Regardless, he says it is time to renew his own political campaign. Talk to Aliza about how to build signboards. Aliza knows that you don't have political ambitions and that Oscar sent you. She gives you the blueprint to build signboards, though it is not necessary to learn the blueprint in order to successfully craft the item.

After you make one, take it to Oscar and he will have you make a total of 10 and wants you to put them up around the village. If you do that, he says will let you off cleaning the town for the day.
After placing the signboards, talk to Oscar, who will express that there are a good few of those signboards around and that he might be convinced that you did good work today. He will then give you a letter of challenge to deliver to Maximilian to officially start the process.
Talking to Maximilian, he will apologize that you got dragged into all of this and that Oscar can be a challenge sometimes. The election isn't even coming up for another year. Maximilian compensates you for what you did and says that it is not nearly adequate but all he can personally offer right now. And please vote for him next year.
