General Store

The General Store is the white and blue building that is automatically spawned at the start of the game, usually near the main town square. It is run, but not owned, by Leif.

This is where most basic furniture, crafting stations, and farm items can be found early on. Some crops are seasonal and their seeds can only be found during the season the crop can be grown in (e.g., Corn can be found in Autumn when it grows, but not other seasons). Fruit tree saplings can be found year-round.

There is no sell box in the General Store, though items that are sold in the shop can be sold back to the shop for the same amount of Petals they were bought for, on the same day they were bought. Such items can be sold back to the shop by holding the item to be sold and right-clicking on the identical item on the shelf. For example, if you accidentally bought a fence, you could hold the fence in your hand and right click on the fence of the store shelf to sell it back. Warning: This does not work once a day has passed.

Players can steal money from the Cash Register up to once per day, but be aware that this qualifies as theft. Villagers will take note of it, comment on their suspicions, and potentially lose Friendship with the player.

Clicking the orange-bordered sign in front of the shop details the requirements for the shop to stay open, as well as be upgraded. The area protection can be toggled from this sign.

After befriending Leif enough and fulfilling certain requirements^[1], he will task the player with upgrading the shop by building a postal area for it. This results in the Shipping Station, Shipping Catalogue, and Airship Anchor being unlocked as part of the General Store's daily stock. The following items are necessary:
